The theme that I have continually focused on in my work is the relationship between nature and light.
Light and darkness are inherent in the existence of all creation. Therefore all visible matter becomes the subject of my paintings.
I observe the flow of light, the planes of objects, angles and refractions, and I endeavor to
come up with unique compositions of my own.
Like my childhood kaleidoscope which fascinated me with hours of inexplicable joy, the light-filled scenes before me, like panoramic pictures, inspire and urge me to paint.
Most times, my work is inspired by my travels. Back in my studio, I draw out stored memories with sketches and reconstruct them. The message I want to communicate is more important than traditional composition or realistic method.
Through nature, I learn about contracting worlds: the present and the future, the light and darkness, love and sorrow, the real and inner world.
